EMS Week Open House - May 17th, 2009
Thanks to everyone who came to the open house on May 17th to kick off EMS week. It was
a great success with a large turnout. We had various events for the kids, safety tips, and tours
of the firehouse. We ended the day with an extrication demo, and the landing of the medivac
helicopter, Stat Flight. We would also like to thank Banksville Fire Department and North
Castle Police Department for participating in the event. Click on the slide show to see pictures.
New Pre-Plan Program
We are currently in the process of updating our records, and are conducting pre-plans of
commercial buildings in our district. These pre-plans will help the department in case of an
emergency at your building. By conducting the pre-plan we will gain valuable information which
will help us be more effective at accessing the building quickly, which hazards are present, and
what is the best way to quickly suppress a fire. There are many other benefits for both the Fire
Department, as well as the building and it's occupants. All we need from you is someone to show
us around the building. While conducting the pre-plan, you will be able to ask us questions, and
also receive more information about how you can be part of our Knox-Box program. If you
would like us to come pre-plan your building or want more information, feel free to contact us .
