We hope you enjoyed coming to the Frosty the Snow Man Parade in Armonk on December 10th, and were able to participate in all the various activities in town. We got some great news about the results of the fire truck decorations and found out that the Armonk Fire Department received first place! We’d like to thank all the members who helped decorate the apparatus, and all the organizations in town who helped make the parade a success.
If you haven’t made your new years resolution yet, it’s still not too late. Consider helping out your community and volunteer with us. It is a great way to stay involved and support your neighbors. No experience or training is necessary. We provide you with everything you’ll need.
Recently, some of our members completed a training class at the Fire Training Center, in Valhalla, called “Making the Stretch” The class taught about different methods of stretching hose lines and doing a proper size up on the scene of a fire. You can read more about our training here. Soon after this class was completed, members were able to use the skills learned during an incident. Our members train as much as possible to keep their skills up and stay current with new techniques and skills.
